Make a move

Dear friend,

I really want to commend your passion to build more capacity by gathering more knowledge. It is a core quality of successful people.

I have watched you read hundreds of books across different subject areas ,attended many seminars and conferences (virtual and physical) ,listened to several audio messages and podcasts. Everytime I come to visit you , the collection of books in your shelf and the amount of podcasts and messages on your laptop and mobile phone never cease to intimidate me.

But this I have to ask you and I want you to give a sincere answer to it in your heart :

Are you a walking library or a living application of knowledge ?

Have you ever sought to know the reason why its seems as though you have gathered a whole lot of knowledge and information and yet there are no visible changes. It because , what matters is not really what you know , but what you do with what you know — the process is not complete until knowledge is converted to action.

So , completing three books in a month , attending that seminar and having hundreds of audio messages on your laptop (as good as they are) will not yield any fruit until you convert the knowledge gathered into action points.

Action points refers to the needed steps you need to take to effect relevant changes in affected areas of your life where the knowledge you now have has addressed.

My friend, I say this to you over and over again , my letters to you are not just for the fun of it, it is to see that you live a meaningful life. Now go back to that notepad where you jot everything you read, re-listen to those messages and generate action points.

The world celebrates people who make moves not people who know and yet maintain the same status quo. Stop being a walking library , be a practical expression of what you know.

I hope my letter met you well, I love you and hope to see you soon.

Your friend,

Segun Onilude.
